A Delightful Time to Visit As far back as July and into August, the question I kept hearing was, ‘Where has the summer gone?’ Well, it’s September now and surely the curtain is about to come down on summer. The season of summer is never long enough for some (like my wife… and children of school age).
Now don’t get me wrong. I like summer as much as anyone. But I’m not going to enjoy September any less because I know we’re that much closer to winter. This month tends to be the warm-up act for October, the month when nature puts on her most dazzling and spectacular show. Ah yes, warm days, cool nights with even a nip in the late evening or early morning air. Time for a warm cup of coffee taken leisurely as you peruse the morning newspaper. Just one of life’s little treats. Kids are back in school and there’s order to the universe once more. If you’re reading this and are a visitor from out of town, welcome! This really is a wonderful time to be visiting Pittsburgh. The September issue of Point is the first of two back-to-back issues that focus on the AIRPORT AREA. You’ll find the focus on pages 21-26. Featured this month on the cover is India Garden, a wonderful ethnic restaurant located in the university section of Oakland. We hope that your visit is a great one. Again, welcome! Current
