The House on the Waterfall Ahe calendar says October. It’s fall, or more precisely, the season of autumn is here. The changing colors of the leaves add a vibrancy this time of year with the seasonal change. This area, Pittsburgh, Western Pennsylvania, and most of the state of Pennsylvania for that matter, need not take a back seat to anywhere for those seeking the changing colors of the leaves. Travelers from around the world comment as they view the striking colors that may be found here. The colors and shades of scarlet and amber, crimson and gold, and many others are all included in nature’s palette.
Located just off the Pennsylvania Turnpike and about an hour-and-a-half traveling time from Downtown, “the house on the waterfall” is indeed special. If a visit to this wonderful attraction is in your plans, great! If not, consider adding it to your itinerary. Autumn can be a glorious time of the year. This is the month that nature puts on her most dazzling and spectacular show. The days grow shorter, but bright, beautiful, and pleasant. With the changing of the leaves, the nights are cool, clean, and crisp. October ends on the 31st with Halloween, but from the first till then, enjoy the show. And as always, welcome to Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania. With its rivers and valleys, bridges and hilly terrain, Pittsburgh has surprised many a visitor because of its natural beauty. As Pittsburgh celebrates 250 years officially next month, this is a city that may surprise you too! Current
