This month’s cover features an original watercolor by renowned local Pittsburgh artist Jess Hager.

Each year, the Lupus Foundation of Pennsylvania offers an exclusive holiday greeting card of a Pittsburgh scene reproduced from an original Jess Hager watercolor painting. Thanks to Mr. Hager’s ongoing donation, this year the foundation offered the twelfth holiday card in this series. This latest card is titled Winter on the Allegheny and is a view from Mt. Washington of The Point and the North Shore together with the world-famous inclines inching their way up and down the mountain.

Lupus is a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune disease that can affect anyone at any age, but is especially prevalent in women during their childbearing years.
